All employees at House of Usher are committed to caring for the environment and controlling the levels of pollution and waste that arise from their work. House of Usher aims to minimise waste and recycle where possible;
Minimising waste
A large percentage of communication is done by email this cuts down on waste paper which would be produced by faxes or letters.
House of Usher discourages hotels from sending brochures as these use large amounts of paper and energy in processing, and the same information is usually displayed on a website.
Recycling
Paper and cardboard waste produced in the office is recycled, along with old magazines, junk mail and telephone directories.
Cans, tins, glass, plastic bottles and batteries are recycled.
Used ink cartridges and mobile phones are donated to charity to be processed and recycled.
Charity
In 2010 House of Usher are proud to be supporting the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNNA)
Established in 2003 the WNAA exists to provide a HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) to the counties of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and the Milton Keynes area.
Not simply transporting patients to the nearest hospital; their service routinely carries senior doctors and consultants to the scene of incidents in just minutes, providing life saving treatment and medication at the scene and en-route to hospital. Click on the logo to reach their website.
